Dear Ellen,
I know that you may never read this, but if I didn't at least try to reach you, then I would regret it for the rest of my life. My name is Cierra Medina and I am 26 years old. Recently, the love of my life, David Archer, proposed to me in front of my entire family. One family member in particular is one of the most important people in my life. Her name is Ruth Parks and she is my grandmother. My grandma is very sick and just got out of emergency surgery. Our wedding is set to happen some time in February or March of 2020. However, I am not sure if my grandma will be able to make it to see that happen. I have thought about pushing my wedding up so I can make sure that she is there to see me get married. My grandma refuses to let me get married sooner because we will not have enough time to save money to have my "dream" wedding. What my grandma does not understand is that my only dream is that she is there, by my side. She is determined to see me in a wedding dress walking down the isle but if I wait till next year she may never see that happen. I have lived with my grandma and mother my entire life. She has raised us to be hard-working, kind and strong women. I do not care about tv, or money, or fame. I only care about making her dream come true to see me walk down the isle. I don't often ask for help, but I am desperate to make this happen for her. If I end up being even half of the amazing woman that she is then I will be grateful for the rest of my life. She is loving, strong, kind and would literally give me the shirt off of her back if it meant helping me. She is more like a mother to me and has supported me my entire life. She has influenced me to become the woman that I am today. You are such an inspiration and have helped so many other people in need. My grandmother is kind to everyone just like you say at the end of every show. I appreciate the time you and your team takes to read this.
