Boise Girl Gives Back to Homeless Community: 'it Makes My Heart Bigger and Bigger'
After Millee Vega started noticing the homeless population throughout Boise, she realized there was something she could do about it.

"I just saw a lot of people on the streets with signs and I just felt really bad," Millee said. "I just want them to be healthy."

Millee is only 8-years-old, but she's already making an impact on the lives of women at City Light Home for Women and Children.

"I just want to help people a lot because it makes my heart bigger and bigger ," she said.

She started putting hygiene packs together which include a hair brush, some deodorant and chap stick, and other necessary supplies for the women at the shelter.

She used some of her own money and relied on some donations through Amazon to put the packs together.

The first delivery she made to the shelter was 55 hygiene packs.

"They started crying with tears and I just felt super happy," Millee said. "They said 'OMG thank you we really appreciated it, we really needed help and this is how much we need.'"

Right now, Millee is finishing up 30 more bags that will be delivered to the shelter soon, she says she just needs to add toothpaste and toothbrushes.

Vega is planning on doing this for as long as she can. If you'd like to donate, .
