Today's American Women, National Elegant Teen, Jody Rose Furrh. November is Epilepsy awareness month. Jody trained her service dog then traveled from Kansas to the Bahamas spreading Epilepsy awareness and service dog education. She has a motto of doing what you can, when you can, for who you can to change her world. She has done over 500 hours of community service, recieved recognition from the Governor of Kansas, The Assembly of New York, as well as a Gold Presidential Award from President Obama. But she hopes to reach Ellen, To spread both Epilepsy awareness and service dog education. Jody was born with Epilepsy and has seizures that last 2+ hours when they happen. It's been a tough 14 years for her but she refuses to stop smiling and shining. Epilepsy will not beat her!
