Saving Miss Savannah
Our sweet daughter Savannah was born on 8/26/2015 at 36 weeks and 4 days. She was 5 lbs 9 oz. Savannah was briskly taken to NICU where she was on CPAP to help her breathe. After a day she came of the CPAP but was struggling to gain weight. Her weight dropped to 4 lbs 13 oz. After a week of having a feeding tube she finally started to eat and gain weight. We thought she was coming home!

Then nurses noticed lumps under her skin. More days in the NICU and many lab tests revealed no answers so she was transfered to AI Dupont children's hospital where she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.

Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer in infants and children. She has started chemo and so far is doing wonderful. She just finished her first cycle. (They say she needs 8 cycles). She has been a trooper so far and has braved 2 surgeries in her short 3 weeks in this world. She has had a biopsy of the lumps and a bone marrow biopsy. She also had a 2nd surgery to place a central line. Our precious little girl is still in the NICU.

Our little family is asking for anything you are able to do to help. From well wishes to donating towards her care and treatment. Savannah has a big brother at home who can not wait to meet her. Together, we can help Savannah fight cancer!!
