We are trying to get Raven Walton on The Ellen DeGeneres Show so she can bring awareness at a national level to the need for more research and hopefully a cure for gastroparesis (gp). Raven is a gp patient, she teaches children to dance, she says that when she dances she feels no pain. She also competes in pageants where she proudly shows her scars from her many surgeries that she has had because of having gp. She can expect to have a surgery every two years to replace her gastric pacemaker until a cure for is found. The pacemaker helps push the food through her digestive tracts. Some people do not have that luxury, others live with gp for years without having surgery because of it. There is no natural progression to this monster of a disease, some patients have to have tubes for feeds within weeks of diagnosis. We need help bringing this to national attention. We can get that if we can help get Raven on Ellen's show.
