OLIVIA MARIE MCCORMICK

16 years old.
Yawkey/ Huntington, West Virginia
God blessed this world and made life sweeter on March 11 1998 when he blessed this earth with 2 beautiful, bright eyed, baby girl and baby boy, twins, named Olivia Marie McCormick and Cole Hunter McCormick.
On Sunday, November 23, 2014 her sweet, precious life had came to an end in a terrible car wreck, where she was the passenger. The driver lost control of his jeep, the jeep flipped in the creek, where there was a lot of water, and my sweet baby wasn't able to escape the wreck. And sadly, that's when her sweet life had came to an end.
For 16 years Olivia's life was filled with loving family, caring friends and lots of sweet memories, that she would often share with others. Olivia loved her kitty, KiKi and adored the outdoors and fishing. She loved going to concerts, music was a big part of her life. She loved Taylor Swift and always looked up to her as a role model. I would catch her in her room playing Taylor's music, while Liv was dressed in my clothes and high heels, pretending to be Taylor. As Liv got older and became a little lady, she played me a song and she said, Mom this is our song, the name of it is " The best day" I cried like a baby, because this little girl sitting beside me, was no longer a little girl, she was a young lady and a fine young lady at that. Life was beginning to slowly sink in her head and she was finding out what life really about.
At her funeral I requested, Taylor's song, "The best day" most people probably didn't understand why that song, and it was okay, because my Liv and I knew and understood the reason why.
Olivia was in her Junior year at L.C.H.S. In Lincoln Co, West Virginia. She took great pride maintaining on the honor roll.
Olivia had a life full of dreams and aspirations for the future. Olivia spent her time lifting others up and because of her sweet heart and her contagious smile, her spirit will ALWAYS live on. Liv loved God and praised Jesus. When the world lost her, we lost a jewel for sure. She had much to offer us all.
Olivia maybe gone, but who says your dreams still can't come true? As her mother, I will do whatever I can to make sure her dreams come to life. Her life was my life and as long as I'm living, I won't quit making her wishes and dreams come to life and make them reality. That's the least I can do for my daughter that's no longer here, it gives me purpose of my own being and it helps me to be still helping my Livvy and for that reason, I'll never quit helping my daughter and her dreams.
Thank you for your time, and let Taylor Swift know, my sweet daughter loved her and Taylor is a good role model. Olivia always wanted Taylor to sing for her. So, I'm hoping maybe Taylor can put something little together and sing her something. Her Birthday is next Wednesday, that would be the best gift that Taylor could give my livvy and myself. What a blessing that would be. If you can help me, make Livvys dream come to pass, that would be pretty amazing and awesome!! Thank you, - Melanie Burchell ( Olivia's mom)
BTW~ She got her name after Olivia Newton John. She was my child hood role model. I was her BIGGEST fan ever!!

Please help make a daughters dream and a mothers wish come true!!!! I don't know at the countless fans in Lincoln county and Boone county that you would make smile if Taylor swift would do this and sing Liv a birthday song!!! But I know one special person that it would mean the world too Melanie Liv's mom!!! If you could only know the kind heart, wonderful person that she is, and inspiration she is to everybody and Liv being just like her Mom, you'd defiantly makes their dreams come true!!!! Please comment and share let's make this happen for Liv and Melaine both!!!! Dreams do come true!!!
I never had the pleasure of meeting Olivia or gotten the chance to meet Cole but I do know thier mother pretty good and I know that her heart and determination will get this done. I wish nothing more than to see Mel do this for her daughter. So please if you can do anything to help I am anxiously waiting to hear Olivia's birthday present.
I never had the pleasure of meeting Olivia or her brother Cole but I do know thier mother pretty good and there is no person I know with a bigger heart than she has. She will get this done so wouldn't it be good for Ellen to have a part in it. I can't wait to hear the song and Olivia's birthday present.
I know that Melanie will get this done! Although this will take less than 60 seconds to deliver, it will fill a tiny piece of the huge void that's in her broken heart. Just a moment of kindness can change the world for people!
I went to HS w/Melanie but moved to OH my 11th grade year so unfortunately I never got the opportunity to meet Olivia but from everything I've read & heard about her I can tell you she was 1 heck of a special human being & that I can assure you of! She was someone that delivered more random acts of kindness than most people could ever dream of! If only the world had more Olivia's it wouldn't be so full of violence & hatred towards other human beings! She possessed something very special in that no matter your age, wisdom or life experiences, you left a way a better person than before you were in her presence!
Like I said, Melanie will not stop until she makes her daughters wish come true but please make it happen now. I would hate to see her have to wait longer than necessary for some sort of closure when she's suffering so much already!

As a mother I cannot imagine what Olivia's mother has endured, losing her only daughter. Olivia was a brilliant young lady with a smile she always had placed on her beautiful face. I have a daughter who turned 17 in December, I cannot imagine my life without her and by all means I would want to do everything in my power to honor her in the most special way. Please honor Olivia's mother's wish and help her to honor her only daughter.
I met Olivia last winter while I substituted for her English teacher. I was immediately impressed by her. She is one of those children that everyone is drawn toward. She was genuinely happy and sincerely sweet. Her passing was a terrible tragedy; she left hundreds of friends behind at her school. She was loved by all.
This girl touched many lives and had a soul not many people are blessed with. I think it would be awesome if this could happen for this family.
