We love Bella & George!
We love Bella & George!
This is the best human interest story this year. SDP is an outstanding organization that helps Vets and other deserving people with balance and mobility issues. These dogs are donated with love and respect. This is just one example of the work these dedicated people do. Bella and George are the love story of 2015.
This is a perfect fit for Ellen. I even wrote to Ellen on her website and suggested she bring Bella and George to the show for an interview. I sent Ellen a link to one of the Boston TV news reports. Ellen is a BIG dog lover, and I think she'd love to meet George who gives Bella a more normal life and frees her from living in a wheelchair.
Even from far away, read; Norway, we LUV and RESPECT the Service Dog Project, and Bella and George. We stay updated by reading the latest on Facebook and http://explore.org/live-cams/player/great-dane-service-puppies-indoor-puppy-room. So much to learn, so much to explore. Keep up the good work you all do :-) Cheer from Wara and May
How can you NOT bring these two to your show, Ellen. This is the girl I wrote you about on your website. She has a serious problem with Morquio Syndrome, and without George, she'd have to live in a wheel chair. George was given to Bella free of charge by Service Dog Project, where Great Danes are bred and raised to be mobility service dogs and some are ptsd service dogs. Some go to children like Bella; others go to veterans. You love dogs, Ellen. You NEED to meet Bella and George, and if you also bring Carlene, you'll LOVE her! SDP is her non-profit organization.
Watch their news clip! Cutest girl ever!!! If it wasn't for George Bella would either be on crutches or in a wheelchair. http://www.wcvb.com/news/service-dog-gives-woburn-girl-with-rare-disease-a-helping-hand/31510810
Bella and George...what a couple! Service Dog Project is so amazing! There are several other "couples" comprised of children and service dog. Together with people with mobility issues and veterans with PTSD and their best friend SDP service dogs, it is a magical place. Thanks to Explore.org we watch these stories unfold. It is AMAZING!
SDP provides these wonderful service dogs to people of all ages and medical conditions...whether a rare syndrome (as in Bella) or for returning disabled veterans as well. I have watched them raise their litters for several years....a new one is about to arrive any time now and I will live-stream their arrival, feeding and training as well! They deserve as much national recognition as possible...they are amazing!
Bella and George are an amazing pairing. Just love them! I am an avid supporter of Service Dog Project, the organization that provided George to Bella. I watched George be born and grow and train to be the amazing service dog and companion that he has become for a wonderful girl battling a terrible disease.
THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL STORY OF THE IMPORTANCE SERVICE DOGS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF THEM. I THINK THE "TODAY SHOW" BRINGS THAT ATTENTION TO THE RAISING AND TEACHING OF THESE DOGS. SERVICE DOG PROJECT IN IPSWICH MASSACHUSETTS IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INCREDIBLE EDUCATION THIS DOG AND MANY OTHER GREAT DANES RECEIVE TO HELP THE MOBILITY IMPARED.
I support and volunteer at the Service Dog Project 2 days a week. There is nothing more fulfilling in life than to be a part of this great organization that supplies these dogs to people with mobility issues, including disabled vets. It makes all the hard work everyone does there well worthwhile when you see "matches" like Bella and George. It's what the organization is all about. Please go to Servicedog.org for more information, and links to the 24/7 live cameras, etc. Thanks ShirleeNH
Service Dog Project donates their Service Dogs to people who are mobility impaired, and young George chose Bella. They are 'our' George and Bella, it is heart warming to see the progress Bella makes thanks to the match with George. Their story is unique. I follow them daily, and support Service Dog Project in any way I can.

Ellen, Bella is a very brave and lovely girl. Since she was 2 yrs old, she has been battling a very rare disease, Mosquio Syndrome, so rare there are only 3000 known cases worldwide. When you meet her, you will be touched by her. A few months ago Bella had only walked with the help wheelchair and crutches. That is until she received her "best friend", George her service dog. She has been able to leave the crutches and wheelchair behind and now she walks with the help of her buddy. By having him by her side, her posture and walking has improved tremendously. You will meet lovely Bella and her handsome Great Dane George (you are going to love him)!! On a funny note, Bella recently "knighted" him and he is now Sir George William Burton. ;)
I've been watching the SDP organization for three years now and follow George and Bella on FB - they are a wonderful pairing and would make an outstanding segment on your show. ♥ More people need to know about SDP's phenomenal work with dogs and people! http://explore.org/live-cams/player/great-dane-service-puppies-indoor-puppy-room
We (CP'S) (Camera people) enjoy and appreciate staying abreast of the recipients and their service dogs. We have watched these dogs being born, growing up and trained on the 5 live cameras at Service Dog Project. We have a litter due this weekend so please join us for the live births. http://explore.org/live-cams/player/great-dane-service-puppies-indoor-puppy-room
Wow if you want some entertainment and smile you need to check out Charlene White and SDP. You can watch the site 24hrs and they have mail call that is a hoot. Check out the "daily doggie" too. You can't find people like these around much anymore. Intelligent and so giving, just marvelous. George and Bella are so darn cute together, it is just smoochy.....
Bella's disease is so rare world wide, that her story really tugs at your heartstrings. She's a delightful and brave little girl and the assistance that her Service Dog, George provides has made her life a bit easier and he is a loving friend as well as her helpmate. George was born, raised and donated to Bella by Service Dog Project, Inc. in Ipswich, MA near Bella's home. Bella and her entire family are now a part of the Service Dog Project family. The wonderful Great DaneService Dog facility can be viewed 24/7 at explore.org via 5 live streaming cameras located at SDP, Inc. Bella's joy at having George at her side radiates in her beautiful smile!
Bella is a young girl who faces many challenges in her life. I am so happy that she has George to help her through these challenges. They are a wonderful partnership and the photo and accompanying story helps to educate readers on her rare disease and the difference that a service dog can make in a person's life.
Wonderful success story of Bella and George!! Service Dog Project in Ipswich, MA is a registered 501c3 organization that helps people, like Bella, with mobility issues by raising and training Great Dane to be service dogs. Here is the link to a recent article about Bella and George: http://www.wcvb.com/news/service-dog-gives-woburn-girl-with-rare-disease-a-helping-hand/31510810. BTW, Bella and George are one of the many successful teams of Great Danes and recipients from SDP. And SDP is supported and followed by people from around the world on explore.org's live cams.
Reading updates from Bella and George bring joy to my heart. Carlene White and the volunteers at the Service Dog Project (SDP) make this the charity to send your money to. They can make a difference to those who need it in the Massachusetts and surrounding area. We'll get to see some new Great Dane puppies being born and raised real soon. Explore.org Service Dog Project Great Danes. Live cameras make it so exciting!
