Any and all port carbon residents .... chef Hiram Quintana has a food tent open just outside the borough building. We have breakfast being served now, lunch will be coming soon, and dinner will be available as well. If you need a hot meal please come to the tent. We want to help the community during this difficult time. Many local business have helped support this effort as well as individuals from Tamaqua.

Update 8/15/2018.... Chef Hiram, his crew, and several volunteers will be serving a hot breakfast in the morning. We will also have a hot lunch and hot dinner. There are 3 hot meals being served again for Wednesday. If you know someone who can't get out and needs food please let me know by calling me at 570-778-6391.
Take out is available. And we will work with elderly residents who can't physically get up to the borough building just let us know.

--Boyers in Tamaqua for all the baked goods, bacon, sausage, kielbasa, apples, oranges, and bananas. I very special act of kindness was showed by the manager and 2 female employees at Boyers. They paid my bill for the items I was buying because they were needed.
--Heislers Egg Farm, Lewistown Valley for donating 300 eggs for breakfast yesterday and today.

--Mary Lou Kashlak Harvan for baking a homemade tray of macaroni and cheese and driving all the way up from Lehighton to deliver it.
--Walmart, Hometown provided a $50 gift card which allowed us to purchase the paper products needed such as plates, cups, forks, napkins, aluminum foil, baking trays, hand sanitizer, and dish detergent
--The Dog Haus in Tamaqua for donating 80 hot dogs and buns plus paper towels and a sandwich wrappers. Thank you Doug Haus.
--Kochs Turkey Farm in Lewistown Valley for donating 8 large tubes of Turkey BBQ
--Dunns Farm Market in South Tamaqu for donating watermelons, cantaloupes, peppers, potatoes, and cabbage
--Tonys Meat Market in Minersville for donating 40 lbs of pork butt
--Kowalonek's Kielbasy Shop in Shenandoah for donating 10 kielbasa rings, box of all beef burgers, horseradish, to go containers, and bags
--Burger King Shenandoah for donating a second round of ice that was needed and saving me a trip back to Tamaqua
--Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill County for donating hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, baked potaoes, rolls, and condiments.
In addition there were several random acts of kindness from people that saw this post or another and brought food and drinks. All this was done in a day and all this was approved without hesitation, they knew they wanted to help. Please remember to #payitforward
