Ellen Ticket Noification ‘I was sitting on the park bench trying to send this picture of the boys to my wife when I heard a man’s voice very loudly say ‘don’t miss it’.’
Description

“I was sitting on the park bench trying to send this picture of the boys to my wife who was at work when I heard a man’s voice very loudly say ‘don’t miss it’.

I looked up to see an older guy (edit… mid 40’s for the sooks) walking toward me while they were laughing, running around the table and throwing the last of our crumbs to the seagulls. Clearly I was doing something because I held my phone a little closer to my face as I was cropping it.

I looked up and replied ‘miss what?’

He said ‘your kids… your generation is so enthralled with technology. Play with your kids”’

We’d been out of the house for hours. Playing by the bridge, riding to the shops and picnicking by the lake where the park is. We walked out onto the jetty and I wanted to send Sarah this picture because she’s at work and didn’t get to come play. I’m not even kidding when I say I literally took the photo, sat down and was trying to send it.

I spent the next few seconds trying to articulate my message the best way I knew how. You see when you find yourself in these situations especially with the older generations the most important thing is to really make sure you communicate in a method they’re familiar with.

So I stood up, took a step towards him and said “get over it mate”, and off he went.

Sticks and stones people… sticks and stones.

Hope you like the photo babe
