This is the star of the Jersey Boys playing in the Bay Area.
This is the star of the Jersey Boys playing in the Bay Area.
And he recently surprised Nancy.
Nancy loves theatre but is in hospice so she can’t to the show.

So Miguel Jarquin-Moreland came to see her.
He even sang her a song.
How cool is that?

Here’s what April Dovorany from Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care wrote me about what happened:

Nancy is one of our hospice patients that we care for Vista Manor Nursing Center in San Jose.

Our music therapist, Josephine visits with Nancy and they spend a lot of time talking theater and show tunes!

Recently, Nancy mentioned that she'd like to go see one last play, but knew even with comfort medication and assistance, it would be too hard.

So Josephine thought she’d try to bring the Jersey Boys to Namcy.

She did all she could, calling booking agents, tour representatives and even calling the Broadway Booking Office in New York-all with no definite results.

So, Josephine bought a ticket to the Jersey Boys and after the show, waited outside of the stage door in hopes of meeting a cast member.

As midnight approached, the lead character in the show, Miguel Jarquin-Moreland, came out of the door.

She patiently waited to approach him, telling him all about Nancy and her wish to see one more play.

Josephine asked if Miguel was willing to come sing for Nancy, and without hesitation he said, "Yes, I'll do it!"

The very next day, Miguel arrived at Vista to see Nancy, Jersey Boys poster and cast album in hand.

Nancy had NO idea this was going to happen.
Miguel spent over an hour with Nancy, chatting, singing, and taking photos.

It brought her so much joy!
