Yesterday was both a beautiful and a sad day for me.
Yesterday was both a beautiful and a sad day for me.
Me youngest daughter graduated from 8th grade.
And now it’s on to high school.

I love watching her grow up.
But at the same time I miss those days when I could help take the braids out of her hair.
It seems like that was just yesterday.

My daughter had a huge smile on her face during the ceremony.
But I’m sure she’s going to miss some of her friends who are going to other schools.

It’s the end of a chaptermfor her and us.
But at the same time it’s the beginning of a hole new chapter.

I should also mention that I am SUPER proud of my older daughter.

She’s getting ready to attend Northeastern in Boston.
It sounds like an amazing school.
Plus their number one sport is hockey.

I remember a few years ago when my kids were much younger.
We were over by Cal.
And two parents were sitting next to us on a bench crying.
I asked if they were okay.

They said they were just really emotional because they’d just dropped their daughter off at Cal.

I didn’t really get it back then.
I get it now.
Because now that’s me.

It’s so hard as a parent to let go.
But I guess that’s life.
