When Brad Williams and his wife were too exhausted to cook, they decided to order out for dinner. Their newborn son was only two weeks old, and when their food arrived, Williams noticed that it wasn’t any bigger than the infant! He laid the cheesesteak in the baby’s swing…and accidentally started a tradition! The next month, they did it again. As their son grew, he began to interact with the cheesesteak, a hilarious way to document his growth and development as well as share in the family’s love for the delicious meal.He posted the pictures on Facebook, much to the joy of his family and friends, loving the comments…and then it went viral. The parents of an adorable baby were measuring the passing of time with a Philly Cheesesteak, and it was remarkable how quickly everything can change in just a single year.
But at 1 year of age, their son had become his own person…and refused to get near the cheesesteak for his monthly picture! They did let him taste it as a birthday treat, and while he was a bit confused, he seemed to like it.
And so, the tradition was born, and it got a lot of people talking. Finding a meaningful way to document the growth of a new baby is meant to be fun and precious…and what better way to do it than with the family’s favorite meal?
