There Are So Many Wonderful People Out There, This Man Is a Shining Example
Description
"My mom was in the hospital the last three days and had to miss her crucial, every four weeks eye injections to treat wet macular degeneration. If she goes longer than four weeks, her eyes can bleed and she can permanently lose her vision. This happened with her left eye a couple of years ago. To preserve her right eye, Dr. Yosef Gindzin of Grand Rapids Opthamology opened his office (on a Saturday) just so he could give my mom her injections. Because the parking lot isn't plowed on weekends, we couldn't get her wheelchair through the snow. Dr. Gindzin carried her. What an amazing and compassionate man. Because of him, my mom will be able to see the magic of Christmas. Thank you, Dr. Gindzin, for the best gift EVER!"

As a wife of a physician and a former nurse myself, I can tell you, there are NOT many doctors like this in the world. I’ve seen very few that would have the compassion to carry one of their patients to and from their vehicle, let alone, come on their day off for a patient.  Dr. Gindzin deserves recognition for his amazing, kind spirit and for his love for taking care of patients like they were their own family member.  Kuddos to Dr. Gindzin. Our family applauds you.

As for the Havenga family, our family couldn’t have met a more loving family as them. Always so caring and genuine. So happy to know that Lillian will be able to enjoy the holidays with her family!! Love you all❤️❤️❤️❤️

It is so wonderful to see this doctors character shine!  In a time when it seems more common to be reminded that humanity is flawed, this act of simple kindness shares the goodness in our world.  Let's like it, tweet it, talk about it... and make this type of love and compassion contagious!  A great reminder to give when we aren't receiving, do more than is expected of us in our roles in work and in our community, and to put others needs before our own.  Thank you ELLEN for creating a space for these types of stories to be shared!  A great reminder #somanygoodpeopleoutthere
