Prayers for Baby Ruby in Her Continued Journey
Description
"On Monday July 20, 2015 at 12:31pm Margaret VanTongren and TJ Bunker welcomed baby Ruby into their lives. Baby Ruby was five weeks early after mom had lost all of her amniotic fluid unexpectedly. Ruby was born with many complications and the family is facing a long road ahead of them. This page was set up as a way to show positive support for Ruby and her family as they embark this long journey with a baby girl they already love so much and can't imagine their lives without."

We were told Ruby likely wouldn't survive a day but here she is over 2 years old and finally living life out of hospitals! We left our home state of MI in search for better care and have been in CO for the past year trying to get our CNA and become more stable as it has taken the both of us caring for her 24-7 this whole time. We could still use all the prayers love and support we can get for Ruby and our family. Please check out her FB page (Prayers for baby Ruby) to read more of her incredible journey and back story. Thankyou and God Bless.

I've been following little Ruby's story for nearly all her life - she's such a happy little one, and her family have literally given up everything they had to travel in search of hospitals that might be able to offer help and advice on her many medical conditions. Ruby's Mom and Dad, Margaret and TJ, are the kind of parents all of us would want to have fighting our corner if we needed it, and they and little Ruby deserve all the help they can get xx

I have followed this story of sweet Ruby for a very long time.  I don’t think there is anyone that can be any more deserving of recognition then this family. The struggles they have gone through to give her the best life possible are amazing

I  have  been  a  prayer  warrior  for  this  beautiful  little  girl Ruby  & her family  for  the  past few years .  Rubys 'parents  have sold  everything  they  owned to move from MI to go out  West  to give  Ruby  a fighting  chance  at life. They have been  through  so much  yet they  push on, they  also  have  2 little  boys  that have  watched  their parents take  care  of this  beautiful  little  girl ,  and I  know  there were  times  they  were separated  due  to Ruby  spent  a lot if time  in the hospital ,  due  to  multiple  infections  andother major  health  issues ,  I  know  that had to be hard, but they  are good  parents  doing  what  they  have  to  do  fighting  to get the best  care  for  their  daughter  and making  so many  sacrifices. So I  am voting  for  Ruby as this  family  needs  help. And I  really  would  like  to  see  them finally  get some . Please  read  her story  and find  it  in your  hearts  to vote  and help  this  family .

Just love little Ruby and her family. They are fighters! Ruby was born with so many health problems she requires 24 hour care. It takes both her parents to care for her with no breaks and no help from friends or family. They are hundreds of miles from loved ones, fighting every day for their baby, her health and her quality of life. They work tirelessly to ensure Ruby has the best care. Even if it means sacrificing their own well being. These parents will do anything for their kids. They had to give up everything they owned, including a small business and their beloved dogs, to leave their home state of Michigan, searching for better care out west. Margaret and TJ have suffered several set backs this last year. All though there have been many positive changes for Ruby, the family continues to struggle to make ends meet. They receive very little assistance and depend on their Prayer Warriors, good friends and family for financial and emotional support. Currently, the family is living in a RV park in a travel trailer with a broke down truck that's too tired to tow their home anymore. They are lucky they have the RV spot they're in. But its only temporary. They desperately need a home and reliable transportation. Won't you be a prayer warrior for Ruby and her family? Please vote for Ruby and bring much relief to little Miss Ruby and her family.

I have been following Ruby's story from the beginning. The Drs kept telling her parents just to take her home on hospice but they refused to give up on their daughter she has survived 2 years and the Drs didn't think she would live the first 24 hours and here she is 2 years later still fighting. Her parents never left her side they were right there fighting right along side her. They had to sell their business so they could stay by her side while in the hospital. The drs in Michigan left her with a feeding comtramnent that left her pretty much bed ridden so her parents sold all their belongings to move out of state
They are now living in Colorado where they found problems with Ruby that could be fixed where Michigan Drs said there was nothing more they could do. She has been thriving at home with her parents taking care of 24/7 with little help from no one. They have been turned down for parent cna classes which would allow them to get paid for caring for Ruby it literally takes both of them to care for her. This family deserves a mircale. Her parents are the best. They are a very strong family
