Lovely Tradition - "To Represent That They Will Always Support Each Other"
"Salvadorian Tradition. My grandma gave my parents a wedding gift, a chest with gold dipped coins from El Salvador which were to be used during the ceremony. The priest takes the coins and pours them in the hands of the husband; then the husband pours the coins into his wife's hands. She then pours the coins back into his hands to represent that they will always support each other. These coins and the chest survived this fire. Still locked. Still shaking with coins. This chest represents that no matter what my parents will make it through this."
