Description
Vice President Mike Pence went to the Colts-49ers game today.

But he left right after the National Anthem because players were kneeling during the National Anthem.

Here’s what the Vice President wrote about why he left:

I left the Colts game because President Trump and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our flag, or our National Anthem.

At a time when so many Americans are inspiring our nation with their courage, resolve, and resilience, now, more than ever, we should rally around our Flag and everything that unites us.

While everyone is entitled to their own opinions, I don’t think it’s too much to ask NFL players to respect the Flag and our National Anthem.

I stand with President Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand with our Flag and our National Anthem.

—Vice President Mike Pence

How do you feel about this?

I liked what Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers said:

Beauty is, it’s a free country so they can choose to do it or not.

The message has never been about the national anthem.
It’s never been about the military.
We’re all patriotic in the locker room.
We love our troops.

This is about something bigger than that — an invitation to show unity in the face of some divineness from the top in this country and I’m proud of our guys.

—Aaron Rodgers
