Emma Claire - Heart Transplant Recipient
Description
Little Emma Claire has had a really rough start to life. She was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and lifeflighted to the children's hospital 2 hours away where she had open heart surgery that day, and again a week later. At 3 months old she went into cardiac arrest and ended up being listed for heart transplant. Her heart was so weak and she had no other options. She was being kept alive on life support in the CICU. She received her miracle heart in October 2015 when she was 5 months old!

She still has lots of doctors appointments, blood draws, medications, and yearly heart caths. But overall she is a happy, thriving 2 year old!!

Emma is the dearest and sweetest little fighter I know!!!! Have followed her story from before her transplant. She and her family have gone through so much with grace, faith and love. They have a long way to go, but so praying for her continued good health. <3

Emma is such a Bright Star, a Bright Light. I've been praying for sweet little Emma Claire for 2 years & following her progress. Emma has such a wonderful support system all around her, especially her parents, all their friends & family. I will continue to pray for Emma Claire & her parents.  I just wish Emma the best ever...! Emma's Mom and Dad are so patient & loving. They are so wonderful with Emma. You can see all the love they give Emma & you can see all the love Emma gives back...!  Emma = LOVE HOPE LIFE !

There is no family more deserving as this family! The struggle they go through every day and the smile they wear on their faces everyday makes them in my eyes the most deserving. Emma is the sweetest little fighter and her parents are the bravest kindest people as well!

A strong fighter!  I have followed Emma since she was 2 months old!  She's the toughest little heart warrior I have ever seen.  My son is facing open heart surgery and she inspires him!  He is 16 and we both keep up with Emma and her parents and the progress she is making.  We pray for Emma continually.  She has amazing parents too!! ❤️

I met Emma Claire through following a friend on FaceBook.  Now, I look forward to each and every update on her.  She is such a little trooper!  I am elated to think that I "know" her.  Awesome little girl!

I've had the pleasure of following Emma's journey since just before her 1st birthday, this little girl has had such a incredible journey for one so young.
