Kiersten is a true angel! It was no coincidence that she ended up in the life of sweet little Talia. I believe she was put there because she was always meant to be a part of Talia's story. Talia's family have suffered a great deal and to have this remarkable outcome is a miracle. It deserves to be recognized and celebrated!!
I am beyond blessed to know the Rosko family. This family is truly amazing. I started out just going to take classes with George for tumbling little did I know how close I would become to the entire family. I quickly fell in love with his older two children and began babysitting for them. When I found out that baby number 3 was on its way I was beyond excited! What better then another Rosko kid?! When Talia was born and then later on diagnosed with this rare condition it was a shock but not once did this family have a negative attitude. They all kept smiles on their faces and had a positive and optimistic outlook on the entire situation. My heart was broken for them and for their beautiful baby girl. Every time I got to hold her and see her my heart hurt even more. I had wished I could do ANYTHING to help this innocent baby. Finally things for better and the family met the most selfless and AMAZING person ever. Keirsten! Their are no words to describe what she has done. She is someone I look up to and truly wish to be half of the person she is. Because of her this loving happy beautiful little girl gets to have the life she deserves.
We have known George and his family for over 20 years. He has been the Special Olympics coach for my son and has dedicated so much of his time and love to these kids. When we heard about his daughter's condition we were all so heartbroken for them all and then to have Kiersten enter their lives and provide this lifesaving donation - there really aren't words to say how thrilled we were for the Rosko's. It was the best news and it has been so inspiring to see how the generous act by Kiersten saved little Talia - truly heartwarming and selfless!
it's truly amazing story.....and definitely Kiersten was MEANT to meet this family and become such an important person for Talia. To be so selfless and put her own life on hold to help this family is a gift that the family will cherish forever and ever.... (plus they are both completely adorable).... this is one of those heartwarming stories that will stick in your mind always!
With everything that appears to be so horrible going on in our world today it is truly amazing and inspiring to see someone like Kiersten to be so selfless at such a young age is not something many people can say they do. George came into my life when I was 17, and when I found out about Talia being so sick she needed a liver transplant and how her babysitter was so selfless to give her a part of her liver I was touched. This family is the most deserving of this kind of miracle. Not only do they make someone feel a little better just when another person walks into a room but they do it with expecting nothing in return. The Rosko's and Kiersten are really a perfect match and everyone should hear this story, to know that anything is possible.
I have known the Rosko family for most of my life and they are pretty much family to me. They are some of the toughest people that I know as well. I learned about what was going on with Talia when she was a few months old and I felt so bad for her. When it came time for her surgery, I was so happy and relieved that they have found their living angel, Keirsten. Keirsten was very brave and selfless to give, a little girl that she has known for only a short time, life. Something like this can't be thanked enough. It is amazing on how well Talia is doing now. This miracle needs to be shared and celebrated. I hope that by sharing this story it will inspire others to learn about donating and for someone to possibly become a donor and give the gift of life to someone else in need.
This is truly Spirit in Action❣ Kiersten followed her Guidance & chose life - to change the lives of more people (and animals) than we'll ever know. From Talia & everyone who loves her, knows her & knows of her (including pets) all in the past present and future. The love and gratitude that Talia's family have felt and shared has elevated the energy of all who felt it in person and via media & to that I say, Thank You❣
May you all continue to shine brightly always in all ways ☄

George, Farra, and their beautiful children are family members of mine. They are beautiful people and although I have not met Kiersten, she has done such a selfless act to save Talia's life. It really shows that there are such good people still in this world - couldn't think of anyone more deserving!
I've known the Rosko family for over 10 years now and went to high school with Kiersten. I have been coached along with my sister by George Rosko since we were 8 or 9 (I am now 23 and she is 17). I've seen his children grow just as he has watched his athletes do the same. The Rosko family has a whole community behind them of athletes that I'm sure, would not hesitate to do the same as Kiersten for little Tallia. A deserving family compels people just like Kiersten to do the right thing. She was sent to them during a time when they needed her most and that is truly a miracle. I am so thankful to Kiersten for making such a selfless donation for a family that my sister and I hold dear. We continue to pray for Kiersten and Tallia's good health and can't wait to see what the future holds for both of them.
The Rosko family is truly one of the most amazing families I've ever met. They were blessed with 3 beautiful kids and it was heartbreaking to hear about their youngest, Talia's, condition. I believe that everything happens for a reason and it was a miracle that Kierstin and the Rosko's crossed paths. Kierstin offered to give a piece of herself to save a sweet little girls life after only knowing this family for a short period of time. It doesn't get more selfless than that.
I have known George and his family for years and they are, and always have been, very giving people. They were truly given an angel when they hired their nanny Kiersten. We read stories about superheros, , but actually knowing someone who has been blessed to have someone like this enter their lives is a miracle. Baby Talia is coming along nicely thanks to the selfless sacrifice Kiersten made as an organ donor. Continued prayers, for both, that their lives are filled with love, joy, happiness and of course good health.
Kiersten, you are truly amazing, inspiring, an angel, and the list goes on! Your decision to donate and help save Talia, has put faith and hope back in my life. We live in a mad world and you have helped me realize humans do exsist. Thank you for that and more importantly thank you for saving my friends baby!!
George was both my daughters tumbling coach and aside from being a great coach, he is truly one of the most kindhearted supportive and patient individuals you will ever meet. The ordeal that the Rosko family endured with their sweet little girl Talia was heart wrenching. We often hear the phrase good things happen to good people, but when you actually see it happen, it really does give you hope. For the Rosko the family, that hope came in the form of an angel and her name is Kiersten Miles. What she did for Talia was one of the the most selfless and amazing things that anyone could do for another human being. She saved Talia’s life and, because of that, I will always have hope that there are angels among us.
I've known the Rosko family for most of my life. I grew up doing gymnastics for them and I'm now a coach at their gym. As is clear from the rest of these comments, it's easy to consider yourself part of their family because of the way they treat others and welcome them as their own. Talia is the sweetest baby and I couldn't be happier she got another chance at life. Kiersten is amazing for what she did for them. She deserves the world and she expects nothing. It's incredible.
What isn't being said about this story, but I think is important, is their struggle before all of this. George had a rare form of cancer twice, the second time being when Farra was pregnant with Talia. He went into remission right before Talia was born, and then got the news about Talia's condition a few months later. No one could understand why this amazing family was beaten down by all this tragedy, but it seems like it was to bring them here and make them see the good in the world again. George still has medical issues that persist from the cancer, but you will never hear him mention it. Nothing matters to him but his daughter's well-being and I think that's a true testament to the kind of father and person he is.

What an amazing story, as a mother of two... I couldn't imagine the anguish or heart break in thinking you (as the parent) couldn't make your child all better. That you had to rely on a miracle and hope. The Rosko family our truly blessed to have had such an amazing young adult, make a truely life altering decision. I think one of the amazing things, beside the obvious of one truly loved little Girl Talia gets a second chance at life, love and happiness with her amazing family. But that a young ambitious woman, was so selfless in her decision at such a young age. To think about what sacrifices she made to safe another life. College student, puts her studies and social life on hold to help another. Just all around amazing, Kiersten is the type of role model we need more of... thank you
When i got the news that Talia was finally getting her liver transplant, i was overwhelmed with happiness. I work for George at his gym in New Jersey, and he was also my tumbling coach and helped me get to a collegiate level of tumbling.Getting to know him and his family was a blessing to me. Talia is the most precious baby and i can't begin to explain how happy i am that she is happy and healthy. Kiersten is an amazing, selfless person and i can not imagine how thankful the Rosko family is for her.
My kids have been going to gymnastics with Talia's dad for a few years. We were all so excited for her birth and she was a gorgeous baby. When we learned she had a severe illness and that treatment options didn't work we were devastated for the Rosko family.
George has helped our kids in so many ways that we felt that we wanted to help in some way. We truly hoped Talia would be healthy but don't know what her future would hold. She was always so pleasant and beautiful despite her sickness. I never imagined that the young lady who babysat for her would hold the keys to her survival.
Talia's survival and Kiersten's generous sacrifice are so inspirational I think about them every day. I am so grateful for her selfless act
Kiersten is a true hero; a remarkable young lady. As a parent I can relate to (but not imagine ) what Talia's parents were feeling and how relieved they must have been to receive this gift from her. Amazing, incredible inspirational woman.

This story deserves all the recognition in the world, as does the the Rosko family! They were my second family growing up and they practically raised me. I saw them more than my family because I always in the gym. George Rosko is one of the kindest, hard working people I've ever met and I'm sure he and his family would light up Ellen's stage! Also, just look at Talia's face, she's absolutely adorable and so happy for having been through so much! Make their dreams come true now that their worst nightmare is over!
The Rosko family are the most wonderful and generous people. The strength need to get through such a hard time is unparalleled. They were such a big part of my life and so supportive when I needed them. Kiersten deserves to be recognized for her heroism and selfless act. Losing a child is devastating and she made it possible so that this family and the community did not have to endure such an event . I hope we are able to celebrate her bravery and inspire others to do the same! Thank you Kiersten!
We've grown accustomed to a world where a majority of the news is upsetting. What we need more of is news that is uplifting and can really inspire others. This story is just that. Not only does it warm your heart, it shows that everyday people can truly make a difference. Not only did Kiersten's selflessness save little Talia's life, it brought to light the importance of organ donation, specifically live organ donation. This touching story has impacted so many people in such a positive way, I would love to see that positive outreach continue. I'm so honored to be even a small part in helping this story reach others. Whether it inspires someone to donate an organ or just encourages someone to lend a helping hand to a neighbor, this pay it forward spirit is what we all need a little more of!
Kiersten is an angel on earth. Her selfless act not only saved a life, but also saved a family. Talia now has the chance to grow up and live a normal life thanks to Kiersten. Kiersten and the Rosco's story deserves to be celebrated. It's not every day that you see a young college student saving a life. She proves there is good people out in this crazy world, and that everyone has a purpose. Such a heart-warming story after knowing all the heart-break the Rosco's went through. Sending love to both families!
The first time I met Little Miss Talia was on her christening day. She was tiny and perfect in every way. That morning, although trying to make it as celebratory as possible, it was also filled with much worry. Her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles joined together to make sure she was a child of God. No big party, no fanfare - just a celebration that God brought her into the world.
Not knowing His plan, worry ensued for about a year. Until Kiersten came into the picture. God was telling George and Farra, do not be afraid. He was with them.
Kiersten made sure Little Talia would be here for a long while! Hey people. This is a MIRACLE. This is a act of love, selflessness and unending KINDNESS.
Thank you Kiersten! You are an angel on earth!

As a nurse in pediatrics and working with sick children every day, it's stories like this that leave you with chills throughout your body at the amazingly selfless, and brave act of compassion that Kiersten blessed the Rosko family with. I have had the pleasure of knowing this family & no one is suited better than them to help spread the awareness of donating life!
Every parent worries about hiring a nanny and how safe is it to leave their child with someone else. But does every parent have the gift of hiring an angel? I am completely blown away by the selflessness of such a beautiful young woman. Ellen, please meet this incredible woman and share her kind and generous gift with the world. She inspires others through hope and that's something everyone can use in a time of need. God Bless both Talia and Kiersten.
This story and this family deserves all the recognition in the world. George and the Rosko family watched me grow up in their gym and were basically my second family. They are the most welcoming family and treated me as one of their own. Their story proves that miracles do exist in the world. Kiersten is truly inspirational and an extraordinary human being. God bless this family!
Organ donation is a complicated process and deserves a bigger national narrative. Not only does a person have to be willing (which is a huge [huge] commitment) but the matching process is rigorous demanding identical blood and tissue samples and that the donor is in excellent health. The rewards, however, have impact that benefits countless lives. In Talia's situation, Kiersten not only had to be in perfect health, match Talia perfectly, but also be "small" enough physically so that her liver donation would literally fit inside of Talia. So many factors had to be met and that's not even considering the psychological state of the donor before and after the donation.
I bring up all of these things not to advertise that everyone should donate an organ (although, in theory, it would be great)...because even while I am so thankful for Kiersten's sacrafice, I'm not sure I could even do this...if you try to draw my blood from my arm, you might get a black eye :)
All I'm trying to say is this: Talia's life was saved because Kiersten was utterly selfless and wanted to make a difference in just one person's life. Imagine the power in that statement. Imagine if we all did this, everyday, in the way we feel most comfortably doing...what a world we could create. Anyway, that's what Kiersten represents for me---and ideal that we should all aspire to.
