7-year-old doesn’t let double amputation keep her away from gymnastics
Big Country Gymnast Beating Odds Since Birth

Autumn Fought is just like any other first grader - full of energy and eager to learn.

She has her favorite teachers, lots of friends, and just like many kids her age. . . she has after school activities, and that's where she met gymnastics coach Faith Wade.

Autumn suffered from a prenatal stroke before birth and was born prematurely at 29 weeks. She was in the NICU for 6 months, but at three and a half years old the muscles in her legs began die away, causing Autumn severe pain, which prompted Autumn to undergo bilateral amputations at the knee.

After her surgery, Autumn's parents Brandi and Brandon fought got her into Seals Gymnastics.

Faith and she have a bond like no other, but autumn isn't the only one learning in this relationship. Faith teaches Autumn to overcome hear fears of learning new skills, and Autumn teaches Faith that when you are brave. . .you are unstoppable.

Autumn has never had it easy but that has never stop her from reaching her goals.

But the most special thing is what Autumn has learned from Coach Faith and it's helping her in her everyday life.
