Sophia has been through so much in her ten years. She has been sick since birth...16 surgeries ...countless hospital stays...diagnosed with A.LL. Leukemia at 2 1/2....chemo for 2 years....and now on hemodialysis 3 days a week waiting for a new kidney. Sophia just went Thu a 10 hour surgery to repair her bladder. This is one step closer to getting her a new kidney. We will have to go to Salt Lake City for her kidney transplant. We will basically be living there for 2 to 3 months...away from friends and family. It's a scary but long awaited journey for Sophia. It's going to be a long and rough recovery and a lifetime of anti rejection meds to keep her body from rejecting the new kidney. But my Sophia is a FIGHTER... She can and will get over this hurdle too!
Sophia has a few angels out there sharing and helping get the word out and we cannot thank them enough.
