Scootin' America
Description
WHAT IS SCOOTIN' AMERICA:

Scootin’ America will chronicle the travels of Adam Sandoval and his Chihuahua, Scooter, as they ride their motorcycle to every Harley Davidson dealership in the lower 48 states to raise money for the families of fallen soldiers—specifically The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund, which helps to ensure that higher education is a possibility for children whose parents lost their lives in the line of duty. The ride will set a new world record for most miles in one country, the largest group ride and the longest charity ride in history

The charity ride will take Adam and Scooter to over 690 Harley Davidson dealerships, logging an estimated 65,000 miles across every one of the lower 48 states. Along the way they’ll explore the best riding routes in America, explore local customs and legends and, most importantly, raise money for fallen veterans’ families.

ABOUT SCOOTER

Pound for pound the most traveled canine co-pilot on the planet, Scooter has logged more than 20,000 miles with Adam over the past 6 years. Not your typical lap dog, Scooter prefers his riding seat on Adam’s Harley to most any place he can imagine. Not one to let his size be a limitation, Scooter has been known to regularly feast on meals twice his weight and chew equally large bones. Don’t let his quiet demeanor fool you either…this dog is one badass boy. When he’s not riding shotgun with Adam, he has his back—truly embodying the term ‘man’s best friend.’ And, yes, ladies…he’s single.

ABOUT ADAM:

For most of his adult life, Adam has taken the road less travelled. A born entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Adam parlayed his love of martial arts into several successful business ventures. While in his mid-20s he opened the first of several MMA training centers in his hometown of Green Bay, WI. He also has promoted over 70 live MMA events, patented a mobile MMA training cage and developed a production company which has produced over 43 episodes of MMA reality TV and live streaming events. Most recently, he has been COO of Fighters Source; an organization founded to identify the best amateur MMA talent in the country, and pave the way for amateur MMA to become an Olympic sport.

Adam’s creation of Scootin’ America will keep him on the philanthropy road...this time, literally. By applying his passion for innovation and fueled by his regret of not choosing to serve in the military, Adam’s plan is to, simply, give back. Adam hopes that his efforts will not only raise money for the families of fallen veterans, but awareness of the challenges they face on a daily basis.

Ellen,
My name Is Keith Liberty I am the Sales Manager and Events coordinator for a Harley-Davidson dealer, Big Moose Harley-Davidson in Portland Maine. I am writing to you because I feel it is necessary to tell you about the most inspirational person I have ever met in my 33 years, Adam Sandoval @ScootinAmerica You see us “Bikers” have a pretty stereotypical image based on the success of Sons of Anarchy haha! Fortunate that’s not who we really are. In fact despite our image us “Bikers” might actually be the best philanthropist you have ever heard of. My passion for Harley-Davidson and what it stands for is more of a lifestyle than it is a hobby, time on the Harley is a release from reality and all that is wrong in society my feelings are shared by many and it is this common way of thinking that brings us together. Despite what cable television may make people believe we do not get together and plan narcotics deals and bank robbery’s actually its quit opposite we spend a lot of time planning ways to raise money for charities, causes, and local families. Adam took this Biker philosophy to an entirely new level Adam sold everything he had except Scooter (His Chihuahua) and what he could fit on his bike and took off on an incredible journey. Adam and Scooter embarked on #ScootinAmerica the longest Charity ride in history riding their 1996 Electra Glide across the continental 48 states, hitting every Harley-Davidson dealership along the way, raising donations for the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund. The American Legion Legacy Scholarship Fund helps to ensure that higher education is a possibility for children whose parents lost their lives in the line of duty. Adams trip is self-funded, less the help of a few private sponsorships, allowing him to donate 100% of funds to the charity. He has been on the road over six months logging over 30,000 miles and spending over Seventy Thousand Dollars of his own money to keep the ride going. The Charity ride will take them to over 690 Harley-Davidson dealerships taking two years and over 65,000 miles. Big Moose Harley-Davidson was Adams 343 Harley-Davidson dealer visited. We were fortunate enough to incorporate Adam and Scooters visit with a Bike Fest on the coast of Maine pulling out all the stops and all the strings we managed to party for over 17 hours and raise over $1,000. Adams schedule allowed my Fiancé and I to spend a couple days with him, Scooter, and his road companion Dave. David Patterson , a 62 year old 25 year Navy Veteran who rode up from AR met Adam at a dealer in IA with his bags packed has spent 4 weeks on the road with Adam so far. We were blessed to spend so much time with them. The added time allowed us to forge a true friendship, one that I will cherish and keep forever. Spending time with Adam and truly learning about the sacrifice he has made and envisioning the challenges ahead is mind blowing. Meeting someone so willing to put his life on hold for the good of so many is inspiring; and building a friendship with that person is Life Changing. I could go on forever but I’m at work and 6’4” 300lbs. Harley guys shouldn’t be tearing up, I have a reputation to uphold and Harley’s to sell haha!! I wish I was on the road with those guys but life won’t let that happen. Sunday September 13th we closed down my favorite bar together and said goodbye, it was like leaving a best friend. I think of them on the road and all the unexpected challenges that await them and I feel helpless. I want to do anything possible to help him see this through. I can’t be on the road but I can take time out of my day to write an email and hope it makes it to you. Scootin America’s fans have started a Facebook campaign to get him on your show Get Scoot on Ellen We don’t ask for anything just the opportunity for Adam to tell his story and bring awareness to his efforts. Adam is by far the most determined and generous person I have ever met but I worry without a boost in awareness some challenges may be too big to overcome. Please help us keep them on the road, they have set two world records and have more in sight. A mixed martial arts expert and a Chihuahua putting life on hold to raise money for the families of the fallen is as feel good America as it gets.

Ellen I have been following Adam since he started.  Shortly after he started in October he came threw the pan handle of Fl where we meet. He stopped his plans to join the toys for tots where rode together.  This was a big impact for our area and people still talk about how great he is doing. It inspired others to do good and they use Adam and Scooter for their example.  He blessed us and left great example for people to share. Please help him!

Adam and Scooter have put their whole hearts into raising money for the children of our fallen military.  He started in my home town and has traveled across this country raising funds and awareness.  He could really use a hand in getting the word out there.  It would be awesome to see him and Scooter do your show!  I think you would have fun too!

it's a really good cause and Adam has been doing a awesome job, they deserve more people knowing about the cause so that they can raise more for the fund. adam has taken on this task and every cent he raises goes to the fund and he takes nothing away from it, funding his ride out of his pocket. He sold everything to do this for the families of our fallen heros and is doing a great job, keep it up Adam & Scooter.

This young man is doing one heck of a job raising money for a great cause. But what he is collecting now is just pennies on what he could be collecting if more people knew about him. This is by know means an easy task that Adam and scooter has taken!

Ellen you will be amazed to hear what this young man does and endures everyday sleeping on the ground on some nights in order to continue his quest to raise all the money to help the families of fallen soldiers.  He donates 100% of what he gets from the Harley Dealerships to the cause. He has been blessed along the way with great supporters to keep his old motorcycle on the road to meet his Guiness Book record for the longest single charity ride.  Please help him spread his message and have him on your show. You are both Angels.

Ellen, It's a 'no-brainer'... can't think of anyone more deserving to be introduced by the Queen of Comedy than Adam and Scooter.  ...can't think of anyone more deserving of help with college expenses than the children of fallen soldiers. ...can't think of a person with a heart that wouldn't want to see and hear about this amazing duo. ...PLUS, you could wear a leather jacket and chaps!!!  Who wouldn't LOVE to see that!? #scootinamerica

Ellen,
My name is Gretchen Pierce.  I am the Marketing Manager & Special Event manager here at Bossier City Harley-Davidson in Northwest Louisiana.  This is a great cause, and Adam of (#ScootinAmerica) is a great guy!!  When he came here; everyone was so excited to hear what his mission is.  It made everyone happy to see that he was giving back to the community.  Our city is a "Military City".  We have Barksdale Air Force Base  here, and sometimes things really can hit home when it comes to losing a loved one in battle.  Thanks to Adam, some children in our community will get the education they need to succeed in life!!!  He is an inspiration to a lot of us!!!

Hey Ya Ellen! I'm a female motorcycle magazine editor in Oklahoma. Our National Magazine has followed Scootin America/Adam and Scooter, since he began his journey.  We rarely sponsor a Nationwide rider however, Adam and Scooter have such a selfless, unique and brilliant mission, that we couldn't help but sponsor them as they cross the nation for children of those who paid the ultimate price in our military.  I've ridden alongside Adam for many a miles, as have many of our editors in our 24 states.  He is the REAL DEAL! He's struggling financially as he crosses the continent with his small dog.  He keeps none of the money donated to the American Legion Legacy Scholarship Project. Yet, he's collected over $100,000 from over half of the Harley-Davidson Dealerships in the US! Let's get him and Scooter on your show. The children of the lost military veterans are in need and YOU can help put them into college thru exposure of their selfless mission! Please consider helping them personally as well to fund the continuation of this ride which is gaining great momentum for these children. You Rock!!!  Thank you for your Time!
