on August 9th 2015 my mom was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital with a ruptured annurizm in her stomach. The Drs gave her a 20% chance of survival. The surgery took a little over 5 hours to complete which during that time she flat lined 3 times causing her blood presure to drop so low that it caused her to have multiple strokes in her head and entire left side of her body resulting in her loosing feeling in her left arm and shoulder to her left leg being amputated from her knee down. She was on a breathing machine for a month and a half leading her to having a trach put in along with a feeding tube put in place. She recently had her trach taken out on 9/23 and is being fitted for a prostedic leg on 10/ 14. She has a long road ahead of her for recovery. I am not one to look for handouts or ask for help but my mom can no longer work anymore. She has been a nurse for over 30 years. My fiancé and I are trying to help her out as much as we can with paying bills , her car , mortgage etc. we did a go fund me acct but that really wasn't to much of a success. My mom is so worried about losing this house. She didn't deserve any of this to happen to her. She is such a caring person always looking to help out everyone else. I really want to make all her worries go away. She really is an inspiration for the first day on August 9th to now she has come so far and is such a fighter. I don't know what I'd do without her in my life.
