Carolyn was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma....a rare type of bone cancer at 4 years old.  After 1 year of treatment and numerous surgeries she is now cancer free.   Carolyn's family has committed their lives to raising awareness for childhood cancer and the lack of funding devoted to childhood cancer research.

Our next fundraiser to raise money for childhood cancer research will be a shave a thon for St. Baldricks. Last year we shaved over 100 heads and raised close to $60000 this year we hope to raise $100000. Here is a link. https://www.stbaldricks.org/events/mypage/11287/2015

Strong does not begin to describe Carolyn, her journey or her family. I have been following and praying for her for over a year. Did you know that children's cancer research receives less than 4% of federal Cancer research funds and only 1% from the Amerin Cancer Society? Our babies deserve more.

So glad to see Carolyn featured. She's an amazing kid with a very supportive family.  They give so much back to those kids and families facing the nightmares they've encountered with childhood cancer. Enjoy being a kid!

I have been following Carolyn on Facebook since I saw a prayer request posted for her almost two years ago. She was my introduction into a world I wish did not exist...childhood cancer. Carolyn has fought cancer long and hard and she has the scars to prove it but cancer could not conquer her spirit and that beautiful smile! Her parents are so strong to go through this and to now want to help increase awareness of the lack of support and funding for childhood cancer research. Our children deserve better treatment options than what is currently offered to them and this can't be accomplished without more funding for research. 850

A friend shared Praying for Carolyn on FB...I've been following ever since. It was almost from the beginning of Carolyn's journey. Because of her I have been made aware of so many things. Childhood Cancer is heartbreaking, totally underfunded, these children are given doses of chemo that has not changed in many years. More research is desperately needed. Carolyn's family has helped in many ways to bring a awareness for the need of change. I pray for Carolyn everyday and for many other little ones that are fighting this beast as well as for a cure for these precious little ones. I'm so thankful that Carolyn is NED today.

My family has been praying for Carolyn since finding out about her diagnosis while volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House. It's amazing how many beautiful children are fighting cancer yet there is so little funding for research. These children deserve more!
