I have dedicated the greater part of 30 years of my life to the conservation of rare breeds of domesticated farm animals (heritage breeds). A few hard years have left the many years of hard work and conservation in a precarious position. The costs associated with conserving these breeds is not small and are on going. You can become directly responsible for assisting the rescue of critically rare breeds from extinction and saving their sanctuary; the farm. Even just $5 or so can make a big difference! Saving breeds from extinction and saving the farm is a battle against time. The thought of being forced off the farm and these beautiful and precariously rare breeds being loaded onto a truck and sent to slaughter is unbearable. A number of the animals I have had raised, besides their invaluable genetic worth; they are my fury, woolly, hairy, feathery friends and family! I love this work and the animals more than anything!
