Kaps for Kids - 7th Grade Science Project Solves a Public Problem!
Description
Salmon River seventh-graders, from left, Libbie Tarbell, Rylie Gray and Kora McDonald present their initial experiment –– “Kaps” and Kids –– during the SRC Middle School Science Fair. The three students conducted a test in which 16 of 20 kindergarten students were found to able to open a “childproof” bottle cap. The results inspired the three to create their own cap, for which they are pursuing a patent with the help of Clarkson University’s Shipley Center for Innovation.
