Gastroparesis (gp) patients are dying for a cure! At this time there is no know cure for gp. Many doctors do not even know the symptoms of gp, so do not know how to treat patients that suffer with it. We need gp awareness. Raven Walton, gp patient, dance instructor to children and pageant winner, would like to get a chance to dance with Ellen and share the realities of gastroparesis so that people nationwide can be aware of the scope of this disease, and hopefully gain attention from the medical profession. Many people suffer in silence, often depressed because they are treated as a medical anomaly, not one that most doctors care to be associated with because they do not understand. Often patients are accused of being bulimic, and/or accused of drug or attention seeking. Help us bring Raven to Ellen so we can get national attention for this horrible disease.

This is a reality for many gastroparesis (gp) patients. Slowly starving because their digestive tracts are not functioning properly... some not at all. There is no 'natural progression' to gp. Some live symptomatic for years, others go to being fed by a tube within weeks of diagnosis. We need to feel there is hope. One way we are trying to bring hope is by getting Raven on to dance and discuss with Ellen the horrors that many gp sufferers deal with on a daily basis. Please help give us a voice by helping Raven get on Ellen's show.
